Horse race

 

 

 For the first time, Jerome and I joined last night some friends in Happy Valley, a district in Hong Kong Island. Oliver, an friend from London, proposed to come to the horse race. We attented our first race in the giant race track located in Happy Valley.

In my opinion, what is ammazing when you come in the racetrack, is its location  in the middle of the illuminated skycrappers. OUAAAAAAAAAAH! We went there yesterday because each Wednesday, it is the place to be for both newcomers like us and insiders. Everybody can come to see! You have to pay only 10 HKD (1€) for the entrance. Inside, thera are many stands : you do not die of thirsty and beer flows like water! For me as usual, of course, no alcohol grrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Except this, it was an incredible night, we discovered a nice place and it was a good experience. Guess what? I played twice and won twice!!!  A lucky hand??? Watch the video below.

HK by night novembre 8, 2008

What it impressed me in HK it is HK by night. This big urban city is livingfull as well as day and night. When I speak about HK is all the area : From HK Island to the New Territories. There is always people everywhere : you can not be bored!
What I prefer, it is the moment when HK is lightening as soon as the night is coming down. It is magical to see the skycrappers dressed of shiny highlights.

Jerome and I were glad to discover the view from the “SEVVA” a very hype bar located at the 25th floor of “Prince’s buiding” in Central Business District. Nghia brought us there last Saturday. You can see the video above.

BYE BYE SINGAPORE! novembre 8, 2008

 

 

We have been living in Hong Kong city since last Thursday. At this moment we are greeding by friends for few days before finding a service apartment. As you know, we travelled very lightly with only our luggages. We prefered to look for a fully furnished apartment (no need shifting to France) it is convenient for us because we hate embarassing us unuseful things.

A new life, a new experience, I love the first time when you discover a city, everything seems wonderful. HK is a big city in Asia as Singapore but so different. We often reproach to HK its lack of space : skycrappers, pollution, traffic jam, its crowd. However, there is a lot of nature. The landscape is much more various : mountains, peaceful beaches with transparent blue sea, hundreds of islands around… Each week end you can escape by ferry, boat or taxi everywhere you want.

We went to the Victoria Peak yesterday afternoon, the weather was perfect to go to visit it. From there, there is a magnificient panorama : first plan, the District business; second plan, the sea and last plan “Kowloon”.

I think I am going to adopt this city very fast!

After have walked and looking for a café in Levallois (very difficult task during Xmas holidays), we met with a drink. It was very friendly to see you again. Moreover, almost all the band of “hip hop”  was there : this was impressive!!!
Thanks you Fadé, Isabelle,Pascal, Sylvia, Valérie, Didier, Raja, Nina, Corinne and her daughter, Eric, Jess, Indye, Christine, Carole and Nelly!!! I think about you every day, I put your card on my fridge.

I look forward to seeing you in Hong Kong!!!!!
