RAFFLES HOTEL ARCADE septembre 23, 2007
Raffles Hotel Arcade is situated in the colonial district built by Raffles, the founder of Singapore. Employee of the English Company of the Eastern Indies, he unloaded on January the 29th, 1819. He etablished in the north Indian and Malay districts. In the south of Singapore River, the Chinese district in order to avoid racial and religious conflicts. He transformed the Island in free port.
This place is known as Palladien style with a little gothic. Now, Luxuous shops(jewelleries, tailors, art, delicatessen) surround a splendid patio.
I like the neo-classic style of the monuments of this district. I went there just for the pleasure of the eyes…
